Clean Harbors, located in Weymouth, MA, is seeking a Lead Diesel Mechanic to join our safety-focused team. The Lead Diesel Mechanic will oversee daily shop operations, supervise maintenance work, ensure fleet compliance with DOT regulations, and maintain service and parts records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prioritize health and safety by following all safe work practices and policies
  • Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs, including offsite road repairs
  • Complete daily checklists and communicate issues promptly
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
  • Conduct safety checks and annual vehicle inspections in compliance with laws
  • Ensure equipment is parked correctly per regulations
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned
  • Understand and adhere to Clean Compliance Standards
Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of diesel engine experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Proficiency in electrical, computer systems, ECMs, fuel, air, ABS, hydraulic systems, and engines
  • Experience with heavy-duty forklifts, roll-off trucks, pickups, box trucks, tractors, and tankers
  • Proficiency with diagnostic, repair, and maintenance tooling and equipment
  • Ability to pass background, drug, and physical tests upon hire
