Hensel Phelps in Houston, TX is seeking a Lead VDC Engineer to manage building information modeling for large commercial projects. The role collaborates with on-site VDC and BIM engineers, operations, and the VDC leadership to implement the project’s VDC execution plan.
The successful candidate will guide training, develop and maintain VDC strategies, ensure model quality, and support estimating, procurement, and field coordination through 3D, 4D, 5D and 6D tools.

The Lead VDC Engineer manages the information that utilizes the building model. This position supports the regional VDC leadership and the VDC implementation efforts of single large projects or multiple smaller projects. The lead VDC engineer works with on‑site VDC engineers, BIM engineers and operations to implement and manage the project’s VDC execution plan.
Light Work. Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
A 4-year degree in civil or structural engineering, architecture, or construction management.
