Job summary

Piedmont Heart is seeking a Board-Certified Vascular Surgeon to lead the vascular surgery program at Piedmont Newton. This role focuses on expanding vascular and endovascular services, increasing program volume, and enhancing regional cardiovascular care.

The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality outcomes in inpatient and outpatient settings, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and drive program growth through innovation and quality-driven care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Board Certification in Vascular Surgery.
• Eligibility for or current unrestricted Georgia medical license.
• Demonstrated expertise in open and endovascular vascular procedures.
• Commitment to quality outcomes, patient satisfaction, and program growth.
• Strong leadership and collaborative skills.
• Desire to be on the forefront of a developing program within a mature heart and vascular program.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Vascular Surgery program at Piedmont Newton.
• Grow vascular and endovascular service lines and strengthen regional market presence between Rockdale and Newton.
• Provide comprehensive vascular surgical care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Collaborate with cardiovascular specialists, interventionalists, and referring physicians to deliver coordinated patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support outcome-driven patient care strategies.
• Work closely within the Heart Institute to build on the infrastructure of a system-wide vascular network.
• Contribute to program development, physician education, and community outreach initiatives
