Job summary

Sutton Public Schools is seeking a Varsity Cheerleading Head Coach at Sutton High School to lead and develop the athletic program for the season beginning November 30, 2026. This part-time stipend position involves after-school and evening duties with responsibilities for practices, games, and team activities.

The ideal candidate will have prior coaching experience at the high school level, strong leadership and communication skills, and CPR/AED/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain

Qualifications

• Experience coaching the sport, preferably at the high school level.
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it before season start.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training programs to improve team performance and skills.
• Lead practices, games, and team events.
• Coach athletes in fundamentals, strategies, and sportsmanship; foster teamwork and character.
• Coordinate pre-season conditioning and team-building activities.
• Maintain effective communication with athletes, parents, and school staff.
