Job summary

Oxbow High School in Bradford, Vermont, seeks a Varsity Baseball Head Coach for the Spring 2027 season. The coach will lead student-athletes in fundamentals, strategies, and physical training to build pride, self-confidence, and self-discipline.

The position requires planning and implementing regular training, attending practices and games, and coordinating with the Activities & Athletic Director. Travel for off-site trips and maintaining equipment are also expected.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching baseball preferred; strong leadership and communication.
• Background check upon hire; three excellent references.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and implement a regular training program and attend all practices, competitions, meetings, and activities for the season.
• Communicate and coordinate regularly with the Oxbow High School Activities & Athletic Director.
• Attend all practices and games, awards events, and meetings called by administration or Activities & Athletic Director.
• Supervise student-athletes in tryouts, practices, competitions, and other outings.
• Coordinate with the Athletic Director regarding student-athlete suspension and related communication with parents.
• Manage equipment inventory and ensure proper reporting of lost or not returned items.
• Travel for off-site trips as required.
