Job summary

Helzberg Diamonds is seeking a Lead UX/UI Designer to steer the full design lifecycle for Ben Bridge and Helzberg ecommerce platforms. You will conduct research, create wireframes and prototypes, run usability tests, and deliver high-quality, customer-centered digital experiences.

The role requires autonomous leadership and collaboration with product, development, and QA teams to ensure alignment with brand standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience designing customer-facing digital products or ecommerce experiences, including leading UX/UI initiatives from discovery through implementation.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, responsive design principles, and component-based development.
• Strong portfolio showcasing UX and interaction design, visual design aesthetic, and user-centered thinking.
• Experience using customer behavior analytics and experimentation platforms to inform design decisions.
• Proficiency in Figma and other wireframing/prototyping tools.
• Knowledge of web and ecommerce analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Monetate, etc.).
• Solid knowledge of Usability Factors in Human Computer Interaction.
• Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud is a plus.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Owns and executes complex end-to-end UX/UI design projects for Benbridge.com and Helzberg.com, from research through wireframes, prototypes, and final execution.
• Conducts ongoing site audits to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities in user experience.
• Leads evolution and governance of the digital design system reflecting luxury trends and brand consistency.
• Partner with Product Management, Project Management and Development to translate design concepts into development-ready specs.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to translate business goals into user-centered solutions that elevate the luxury journey.
• Elevates design quality and consistency across the team and advocates design thinking methodologies.
• Conducts user research and usability testing to validate decisions and uncover opportunities.
• Presents design concepts and rationale to stakeholders to build alignment across audiences.
• Provides recommendations on UI/UX enhancements with a mobile-first approach.
