Job summary

Streamwood Behavioral Healthcare System is seeking a Lead Utilization Management Coordinator for its Streamwood, IL facility. This full-time role oversees utilization review activities and ensures timely documentation in collaboration with clinical teams to support compliant care and appropriate reimbursement.

Requires a Master’s in a related mental health field and an Illinois RN license, with 2–5 years in inpatient psychiatry or utilization management for behavioral health.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in a related mental health field.
• Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in an acute inpatient psychiatric setting as a treatment team member, or 2-4 years of experience in utilization management for mental health and substance use disorders.

Responsibilities

The Lead serves as a resource for staff, helping to implement best practices and maintain workflow efficiency within the department.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

A Master's Degree in a related mental health field is required. A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in an acute inpatient psychiatric setting as a treatment team member, or 2-4 years of experience in utilization management for both mental health and substance abuse behavioral health disorders is required.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

Current RN license to practice by the Illinois State Board of Nursing is required. Social Work, Marriage and Family, Mental Health Counseling (i.e. LPC, LMHC, LCSW, LCPC, LPCC) preferred. Primary Source Verification shall be required through Illinois Department of Professional Regulations.
