Job summary

Knife River Corporation in Kalispell, MT is seeking an experienced site/foreman to coordinate daily crew activities across excavation and grading projects. You will work on-site, ensuring safety and efficiency while interfacing with project managers, estimators, and engineers.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in excavation, a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred), and the ability to work long shifts with possible nights and weekends. Extensive safety procedures knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years excavation and grading construction experience.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• Ability to bend, stoop, lift, push, pull and be on your feet for long periods.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
• Assure all safety procedures are followed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all daily crew activities to maximize productivity and quality.
• Good understanding of trench excavation, guidelines and safety.
• Perform work safely and take action to prevent unsafe actions or behaviors.
• Daily coordination with team members, sub-contractors, trucking and suppliers.
• Utilize HCSS Heavy Job to track daily quantities, use of production reports and daily timecards.
• Ability to communicate with project managers/estimators and engineers as needed.
