Job summary

Genentech’s Holly Springs site is building a state-of-the-art facility focused on CVRM manufacturing. The Senior Utilities System Specialist will own maintenance programs for utilities and process equipment, ensuring cGMP compliance, safety, and readiness across startup and ongoing operations.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with 10+ years in industrial manufacturing (or 8+ years with a trade certificate).
• Experience around electrical systems; NC Electrical License preferred.
• Proficient with Building Management Systems, CMMS, and predictive maintenance technologies.
• Familiar with cGMP, Quality Systems, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Lead field maintenance activities on GMP assets and perform repairs and troubleshooting.
• Maintain site utility infrastructure including water-for-injection, HVAC, steam, and electrical systems.
• Read P&IDs and SOPs; document using SAP and paper-based systems.
• Develop training and mentorship programs for maintenance staff.
• Coordinate with Engineering, MSAT, Quality, and Production to support startup and operations.
• Oversee external service providers for equipment and facility support.
