Job summary

RK&K is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to join its Utilities Group, working with designers and engineers on a diverse range of natural gas and utility projects across the Mid-Atlantic region.

You will collaborate with the Project Delivery Leader to plan, design, and construct utility improvements, relocation, and coordination in overhead and underground systems. A strong background in civil engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Ten (10) or more years of progressive project experience in gas transmission and distribution.
• Experience with gas infrastructure planning, design, and construction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design calculations, drawings, and specs for gas transmission and distribution projects.
• Prepare and review technical memoranda, reports, drawings, specs, and contract documents.
• Lead and participate in business development and client presentations.
• Develop and mentor project staff and subconsultants.
• Coordinate internal and client meetings and plan approvals.
• Conduct utility record research and field investigations when required.
• Prepare detailed engineering plans, permit packages, and cost estimates.
• Review and apply utility owner policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with clients, utility owners, and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Manage subsurface utility engineering tasks with contractors.
