Job Overview:

Delegates appropriate tasks to appropriate members of the patient care team. Provides support to the Department and to the Clinical Managers for the Managerial aspects of specialized areas of practice within the Operating Room. Circulates in robotic procedures as well as other specialties within Surgical Services when needed or required. Manages Robotic surgery schedule. Orders and maintains Inventory as it pertains to the Robotic System. Maintains and updates OR/Hospital protocols related to robotic surgery. Reports quality data to the Robotics Steering Committee and the Surgery Committee when needed.

General Responsibilities:

  • Provides safe, competent nursing care for all patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
  • Provides professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
  • The concepts of patient-centered care will provide the foundation for all nursing care.
  • Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Current active Florida or Compact Nursing License
  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS required at time of hire. ACLS required (or obtained within 90 days of employment)
  • 3 years Surgery experience required
  • Coordinator experience preferred; 2 years robotic experience required; MIS (minimally invasive surgery) experience
  • Knowledge of Surgical terminology, equipment, materials, policies/procedures
  • Knowledge of surgical procedures; Urology; Gynecology; General Surgery; Laparoscopic; Podiatric; Plastic; Neuro; and Orthopedics
