Job summary

Citi in San Mateo, California is seeking a Head Universal Banker to lead the branch team, deliver exceptional service, and drive sales including opening accounts and credit cards. You will coach Universal Bankers and Tellers, guide clients and staff through complex transactions, and champion risk and control to ensure policy adherence and a seamless client experience.

The role requires strong leadership, customer‑first mindset, and the ability to leverage digital channels.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering face-to-face customer service and using digital channels.
• Open, client‑service oriented mindset with sales/referrals experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and support Universal Bankers and Tellers to model service, sales, and compliance.
• Guide clients and team in complex transactions and ensure an exceptional experience.
• Champion risk and control by monitoring operations and ensuring policy compliance.
• Educate clients on digital capabilities and present products and services to meet needs.
• Act as a subject matter expert for the branch and cover branch requirements as needed.
• Provide coaching on digital capabilities and streamline sales and service processes.
