Job summary

Job Juncture is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale underground utility construction projects, including water, sewer, storm drain, gas, and dry utility installations. This full-time role covers the full project lifecycle from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil/structural/architectural field or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of project management experience on civil/underground/large-scale projects.
  • Proven track record delivering projects valued at $5M+.
  • Strong scheduling, cost control, and means/methods understanding.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, vendors and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency with project-management software (Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore).
  • Strong financial acumen with budgeting, forecasting and billing experience.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client-relationship skills.
  • Ability to read civil/structural/architectural plans and specs.
  • Proficient in MS Office; valid driver's license and travel willingness.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full oversight of underground utility construction projects from planning through completion.
  • Develop and manage schedules, budgets, cost forecasts, and resource plans.
  • Lead project teams including superintendents, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Serve as primary client contact; maintain relationships through project lifecycle.
  • Review and approve contracts, subcontracts, change orders, and proposals.
  • Oversee project buy-out, procurement, and vendor management.
  • Monitor safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across sites.
  • Track financials: billings, cost reporting and profitability analysis.
  • Identify and resolve risks, conflicts, and constructability issues proactively.
  • Coordinate RFIs, submittals, and change orders with proper approvals.
  • Collaborate with design teams, surveyors, and locators for accurate execution.
  • Lead project meetings and report progress to clients and executives.
  • Mentor project engineers, APMs, and field staff; support business development.
