Job summary

Perfect Plumbing, Heating and Air is seeking a Lead Excavation Installer to head underground utility installations and drainage projects. You will operate heavy equipment, ensure trench safety, read blueprints, and guide crews from start to finish on residential sites.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in excavation or underground utility installation, including leadership responsibilities.
• Proficiency operating excavation equipment and knowledge of trench safety practices.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; CDL strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead excavation crews in installing underground piping, utilities, and drainage systems.
• Operate heavy equipment (excavators, trenchers, skidsteers) and oversee safe usage.
• Ensure trenching, grading, backfilling per specifications and site plans.
• Read blueprints, job specs and site plans to guide installations.
• Mentor and support apprentices and technicians on site.
• Inspect work for safety, accuracy, and quality; communicate with customers.
