Lenox Hill Radiology is seeking a Lead Ultrasound Technologist to support a cross-functional team and float across the Lenox Hill footprint. You will mentor technologists, monitor performance, and ensure quality and safety in every scan.

Ideal candidates hold ARDMS credentials with AE specialization, BLS, and strong expertise in RIS/PACS and ultrasound equipment. You’ll drive process improvements and support hiring and leadership activities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Active ARDMS credential in Adult Echocardiography (AE) required.
• Strong clinical experience with adult transthoracic echocardiography.
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, Doppler principles and echocardiography protocols.
• Experience with quality improvement and protocol standardization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach ultrasound staff; provide feedback on performance and quality.
• Monitor performance during evaluations and document findings for ICM.
• Coordinate staffing and delegate work across teams and departments.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and RadNet safety practices.
• Assist in hiring decisions and input on performance evaluations.

This position will float to locations across the Lenox Hill Radiology footprint.

You Will:

• Provide the Imaging Center Manager (ICM) with feedback regarding performance and quality of technologists.
• Manage and provide coaching, training, support, and motivation to team members.
• Monitor and document performance during performance periods and provides documentation to the ICM.
• Promote flexibility in staff utilization and delegate work appropriately across teams and departments.
• Adheres to all OSHA regulations, RadNet practices, and generally accepted safety protocols.
• Performs technologist duties to maintain technical skills and to alleviate staffing shortages.
• Provide input for hiring and performance evaluation of Ultrasound employees.
• Acts on behalf of the ICM when individual is unavailable.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:

• ARDMS certification
• Must have BLS certification
• A familiarity with and ability to use equipment in including RIS, imaging equipment and PACS.
• A demonstrated the ability to maintain all required quality standards

In additions candidates should also have the following:

Active RDCS credential in Adult Echocardiography (AE) through ARDMS required. Strong clinical experience performing adult transthoracic echocardiography. Comprehensive knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, Doppler principles, echocardiographic measurements and adult echocardiography protocols. Knowledge of IAC Adult Echocardiography accreditation standards and requirements. Experience with quality improvement, technical competency assessment and protocol standardization preferred. Previous lead, supervisory or demonstrated clinical leadership experience preferred. Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively with physicians, technologists, operations and other clinical stakeholders. Experience with ultrasound/echocardiography equipment, PACS, RIS and electronic reporting systems.

Pay Range: $50.00 - $75.00 per hour
