Job summary

Philips is seeking an Ultrasound Systems Engineer to contribute to next-generation ultrasound products. The role focuses on applying acoustic wave propagation and signal processing to imaging algorithms and sub-systems, coordinating system and transducer development, and tuning image quality across devices.

The candidate will lead imaging capability development, collaborate with Research, Marketing and Product Management, and participate in feasibility studies to support R&D and clinical

Qualifications

• PhD in Acoustics, Physics, CS, EE, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
• Master’s degree in one of the above fields with 3+ years of signal and/or image processing experience.
• Proven experience in ultrasound imaging, beamforming, acquisition design, and acoustic wave propagation theory.

Responsibilities

• Apply acoustic wave propagation and signal processing to design imaging algorithms and subsystems.
• Coordinate design, development, and integration of ultrasound systems and transducers.
• Tune diagnostic ultrasound systems for optimum image quality across transducers and features.
• Lead development and implementation of new ultrasound imaging capabilities and SW.
