Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment's PlayStation team in San Diego is seeking a Senior UI Tools Programmer for temporary engagement. You will develop and improve the UI Editor tools, collaborate with designers and artists, and help ensure performance and quality across tools and run-time systems.

The role requires deep C#/.NET experience, familiarity with C++, and a proven track record shipping console games. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in our autonomous, high-creative

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years game industry programming experience.
• Expertise in C# and .NET application development.
• C++ programming experience is a plus.
• Developed and shipped several games on consoles.
• Self-motivated with good communication skills.
• Able and motivated to work with other team members.
• Commitment to code quality and testing procedures.
• Experience with multi-threaded systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing features for our proprietary UI Editor.
• Helping maintain and improve other existing tools.
• Support fonts, localization pipeline and PC development.
• Providing technical support.
• Writing clear, maintainable, portable, and highly functional code.
• Follow coding standards and best practices.
• Profiling and performance tuning of code and systems to remove bottlenecks.
• Testing and debugging of your code and that of others past and present.
