Job summary

Cognizant in Tampa, FL is seeking a Lead UI Automation Engineer (Playwright/Selenium) to elevate the quality, reliability, and scalability of enterprise applications through robust test automation. You will design, develop, and maintain automated frameworks and lead QA activities with cross-functional teams across the SDLC.

The role demands 10+ years in Quality Engineering, strong UI automation with Selenium/Playwright, API testing, and CI/CD familiarity.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on Quality Engineering and test automation across the SDLC.
• Proven UI test automation using Selenium and/or Playwright.
• Experience with API testing and REST service validation.
• Familiarity with Jira for test management and Agile delivery.
• CI/CD tooling knowledge (Git/Jenkins/Bitbucket) and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites with UI automation focus.
• Lead test planning, execution, defect management, and release validation.
• Collaborate with Agile teams to improve automation frameworks and coverage.
• Validate end-to-end workflows, data integrations, and batch processes.
