Job summary

Platform Aerospace seeks a Flight Test Pilot III to lead R&D flight-test activities for long-endurance UAS in Hollywood, MD. You will plan, execute, and analyze tests, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and deliver data-driven insights to advance UAS platforms.

The role requires solo operation, cross‑functional collaboration, and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance. You will mentor a diverse team of flight personnel and coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and software

Qualifications

• FAA Part 107 remote pilot certification required.
• PPL license required.
• Extensive UAS flight operations experience in varied weather.
• Ability to obtain/maintain security clearance.
• Lead and mentor a diverse flight team.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% CONUS/OCONUS.
• FAA Class II Medical Certificate ability.
• Pass flight and deployment physical exams.
• Strong collaboration with engineering and operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute multi-day endurance UAS flight-test programs.
• Develop detailed test plans, risk assessments, and success criteria.
• Coordinate test events with Flight Operations leadership.
• Conduct risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Lead data collection and post-flight debriefs.
• Ensure FAA and company compliance during tests.
• Develop SOPs for R&D flight and ground ops.
• Support domestic and international operations.
