Job summary

The Goddard School of Rockville, MD is hiring Full-Time Early Childhood Teachers for our Two-Year-Old Program. You will create a safe, nurturing classroom where children explore and learn through developmentally appropriate activities.

Qualifications

• MSDE/OCC 90-hour certification is required.
• Experience in an early childhood classroom.
• CPR/First Aid and CDA certifications are a plus.

What You'll Do

As a Goddard teacher, you'll help create a safe, nurturing, engaging environment where children feel confident to explore and learn. Responsibilities include:

• Planning and implementing fun, developmentally appropriate learning experiences
• Helping children build confidence, independence, friendships, and social-emotional skills
• Supporting children through play, exploration, creativity, and hands-on learning
• Getting to know each child and supporting their individual needs and development
• Creating a warm, welcoming classroom environment
• Building positive relationships with children, families, and fellow teachers
• Communicating professionally and effectively with families and team members
• Participating in staff meetings, trainings, professional development, and school events
• Bringing your energy, ideas, creativity, and love of children to school each day!

What We're Looking For

Our ideal candidate:

• Meets MSDE/OCC Teacher requirements, including 90-hour certification
• Has previous experience working in an early childhood classroom
• Understands developmentally appropriate practices
• Has strong communication and teamwork skills
• Is dependable, patient, nurturing, energetic, and ready to learn
• Holds an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field - preferred, but not required
• CPR/First Aid and CDA certifications are a plus
