Job summary

The Goddard School in Auburn, MA is seeking an energetic teacher for our Two's Classroom (Age 24-36 months). This role offers a sign-on bonus, no night shifts, and no weekend work, with a supportive team and a commitment to a high-quality early childhood education environment.

As a lead teacher you will plan and evaluate activities, partner with parents and staff, and ensure safe, nurturing learning experiences that help children grow into confident, joyful learners prepared for school and life.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred.
• 1-2 years of previous experience preferred.
• Has successfully completed state-required pre-service training.
• Develops relationships and communicate effectively with children, parents, and faculty members.
• Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib.
• Meets background check eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily operations of assigned classes and plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities.
• Work directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service.
• Plan and deliver age-appropriate educational activities and a nurturing curriculum.
• Maintain classroom ratios and ensure safety and smooth school operations.

Compensation: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
