Job summary

Kïdo International Preschool is seeking a Lead Teacher at our River Place location in Austin, TX. The role focuses on delivering our rich curriculum, engaging closely with children, and maintaining strong family communications.

You’ll work within a teaching team to foster growth, curiosity, and joy in early childhood education while planning daily activities and ensuring a supportive, safe classroom environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Experience teaching in a licensed preschool setting.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for lessons and activities using the curriculum provided.
• Multitask in a fast-paced environment to ensure responsive care.
• Communicate with parents about child day and growth through messages and photos.
• Help foster positive relationships with children and families.

Lead Teacher Responsibilities:

• Prepare for lessons and activities using our rich, easy-to-use curriculum provided for you with opportunities to add your own creative ideas as desired.
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment to ensure responsive care is provided to each child
• Desire to build positive relationships with children and families and be able to provide communication to parents through conversations, messaging and taking pictures to share the child’s day and growth.
• A passion for educating young minds in a preschool setting
• Desire to work as part of a teaching team

Teacher minimum qualifications:

• HS Diploma/GED required
• Experience teaching in a licensed preschool setting
• At least 18 years of age

Preferred qualifications:

• a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education or related field, OR
• a CDA (Child Development Associate Certification); AND
• 5-10 years teaching experience in a licensed childcare setting, OR
• 2-3 years’ experience in Montessori school setting
