Job summary

The Gardner School in Lincoln Park is seeking a Lead Two's Teacher to guide a warm, developmentally focused classroom and to mentor assistants. You will build strong relationships with families and model the school’s core values while planning engaging, age-appropriate lessons.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of early childhood teaching, a CDA or AA with ECE credits (or a BA in ECE), and CPR/First Aid. This is a full-time, on-site role with competitive pay and a supportive, mission-driven culture.

Qualifications

• CDA or Associate's degree in Early Childhood with at least 6 credit hours in ECE (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related degree with at least 6 credit hours in ECE (preferred)
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• 2+ years of early childhood education experience (lead or co-lead)
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Intermediate PC skills for administrative tasks
• Ability to lift up to ~60 lbs and engage physically with children
