Job summary

The Learning Experience – River Vale, NJ is seeking a dedicated full-time Twos classroom teacher to join our team. You will lead and support daily activities, implement play-based learning, and partner with families to nurture development in a warm, inclusive environment.

We offer paid training, health benefits, and opportunities for growth. Starting wage is $18/hour with a Monday–Friday schedule, and we expect experience with toddlers and adherence to NJ licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous professional childcare/classroom experience required.
• CDA preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with toddlers strongly preferred.
• Nurturing, energetic, dependable, and team-oriented.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Must meet applicable New Jersey childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a nurturing, engaging Twos classroom.
• Create fun, age-appropriate learning experiences through play and exploration.
• Implement The Learning Experience’s L.E.A.P. Curriculum.
• Support language, social-emotional, and developmental growth.
• Build strong relationships with children, families, and fellow teachers.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom.
• Provide positive classroom guidance and consistent routines.
• Support daily care routines including meals, diapering/toileting, rest, and transitions.
