Job summary

BCG Attorney Search in Miami, Florida seeks an experienced Trial Attorney to lead complex defense litigation from intake through verdict, with a strong background in insurance defense and first-chair trial experience across auto, truck, construction, and general liability matters.

The candidate will manage all litigation phases, coordinate with claims adjusters, mentor junior staff, and cultivate lasting client relationships while maintaining meticulous case files and billing records.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and Florida bar admission in good standing.
• 5+ years of litigation experience with significant first-chair trial exposure.
• Proven track record in auto, truck, construction, and general liability matters to verdict or favorable resolution.
• Extensive trial skills including jury selection, openings, closings, witness examination, and evidentiary rulings.
• Strong deposition experience and ability to prepare, take, and defend complex depositions.

Responsibilities

• Lead as first chair in jury and bench trials and develop case strategy.
• Manage all phases of litigation for insurance defense matters.
• Conduct and defend depositions and prepare witnesses.
• Draft and argue dispositive and evidentiary motions and trial briefs.
• Develop case budgets, evaluate exposure, and advise on settlements.
• Oversee discovery including written discovery, document production, and e-discovery protocols.
• Collaborate with claims adjusters, vendors, and experts to control costs.
• Maintain accurate case files, deadlines, and billing records; mentor junior attorneys.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and communicate case status, risks, and strategies.
