Monster Tree Service of North Pittsburgh is seeking an experienced Crew Lead/Tree Climber to supervise tree crews during residential and commercial pruning and removal operations, ensuring safety and quality in line with ANSI standards.

The role requires leading a crew, operating an aerial lift or bucket truck when necessary, and applying rigging and lowering techniques safely. A clean driver’s license and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience leading and training tree crews safely and productively.
• ISA Certification or CTSP highly desired but not required.
• Clean, valid driver’s license is required.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills; prior training experience preferred.
• Ability to identify and communicate up-sell opportunities to property owners.
• Professional appearance and attitude; strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise tree crew while performing residential and commercial pruning/removals to ANSI and company standards.
• Operate an aerial lift and/or bucket truck as needed.
• Apply rigging and lowering techniques safely per ANSI standards; provide supplementary support (cabling/bracing).
• Review and enforce industry safety standards and company policies.
• Ensure daily production goals and crew safety procedures are met.
• Coordinate with the Sales Arborist before starting work.
