Job summary

Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada is seeking an engineering leader to plan, direct, and review the work of staff on transportation projects. The role emphasizes grant-funded initiatives and adherence to regional standards while coordinating with internal teams and the public.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related field and five years of demonstrated professional engineering experience.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Nevada PE license.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Class C driver’s license at time of application.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct and review the work of assigned staff on engineering projects.
  • Lead transportation planning and grant-funded projects.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and committee backups.
  • Manage budgets for the Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and Complete Streets Program.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of regional and national engineering standards and design manuals for roadway design and safety improvements.
