Job summary

J-U-B ENGINEERS, Inc. in Idaho Falls seeks a Project Engineer II or Lead to join the Transportation Services Group.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams on diverse transportation projects for local agencies and State DOTs, from design through advertisement, mentoring junior staff, and supporting business development. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.), preferably in Idaho or able to obtain licensure within 90 days of hire.
• 5-10 years of transportation engineering experience.
• Able to take small to medium size projects from design start to advertisement.
• Excellent communication skills and a focus on quality deliverables.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proven technical background and skillset.
• History of working on projects with ITD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on planning, design, construction, and permitting of transportation projects.
• Deliver comprehensive reports, studies, and drawings to clients.
• Operate CAD (MicroStation/OpenRoads) to produce alignments, models, and plans.
• Work with Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager in a team setting.
• Produce project plans, cost estimates, drawings, and specifications.
• Mentor EITs, drafters, and designers.
• Assist in proposals and client development.
• Support scopes of work, contracts, and design budgets.
