Qualifications
Five (5) years of progressive technician level experience.
Active driver's license required.
Preferred experience with local clients.
Responsibilities
Perform inspection of contractor's operations on transportation projects.
Supervise subordinates during construction.
Measure and track quantities of pay items.
Maintain record documents including certifications and testing reports.
Interact with various stakeholders to resolve field issues.
Skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to analyze and interpret highway construction plans
Experience applying engineering concepts to solve complex problems
Understanding of DOT Standards and Specifications
Education
Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field
Tools
NCDOT certifications including Concrete Field Technician
QMS Roadway Technician
Conventional Density Testing
