Job summary

CDR Maguire Inc. seeks Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisors for projects around the Greater Philadelphia area starting September 2026.

Responsibilities include consulting with contractors and engineers on plans, specifications, materials, equipment, and safety practices, plus preparing daily reports and progress schedules. The role may involve supervising a staff of inspectors, ensuring compliance with contract documents and safety plans, and traveling as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or post secondary education; able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to perform basic math computations for length, area, and volume.
• Certifications listed in the posting (BS Civil Engineering, NICET, bituminous, concrete, CDS, ECMS experience, OSHA 10).

Responsibilities

• Consult with contractors, consultants, engineers, job superintendents, and others on plans, materials, equipment, and safety procedures in construction.
• Prepare daily progress reports and maintain progress schedules; check shop drawings and quotations for variations.
• Keep records of quantities and costs of materials; prepare progress payment claims; supervise inspectors if applicable.
• Travel as required and maintain a positive attitude toward the company.
• Ensure compliance with contract documents and safety plans; enforce health and safety requirements.
