Job summary

Pennoni seeks a Water Resource Engineer to support transportation projects in the Newark, DE area. You will perform hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, drainage design, flood studies and plan/report preparation for diverse Mid-Atlantic clients.

Requirements include a BSCE, 5+ years’ experience, PE licensure, and strong writing/communication skills; DOT criteria experience is a plus. Opportunities for mentorship and project management exist within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• PE licensure required.
• BSCE education required.
• 5+ years of water resources experience.
• Experience in hydrologic/hydraulic modeling and design.
• Experience with state DOT design criteria.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead/Support H&H, ES&C, drainage and SWM tasks on bridge and highway projects in the Mid-Atlantic region, focusing on Delaware.
• Develop plans, technical reports and specifications.
• Mentor younger staff.
• Interact with clients and potentially perform project management.
• Engage in diversified projects with multiple clients.
