Senior or Lead Transmission Line Engineer

We are a well‑established multidisciplinary consulting firm seeking an experienced Senior or Lead Transmission Line Engineer to join our team in the Greater Orlando area. This role offers ownership of projects, leadership of design efforts, and mentorship opportunities on impactful energy infrastructure projects.

Location: Greater Orlando, FL

Employment Type: Full‑Time

Base Pay Range

$100,000 – $150,000 per year

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead the design and analysis of high‑voltage transmission lines (69 kV and above).
• Manage projects from early design through construction, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Work closely with civil, structural, and electrical teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Support project management with scheduling, budgeting, and client communication.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering (Master’s is a plus).
• PE license required (Florida or ability to obtain).
• At least 8 years of experience in transmission line design.
• Strong skills in PLS‑CADD and related tools.
• Solid understanding of NESC, IEEE, and utility standards.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
