Brudis & Associates, Inc. (BAI) seeks a Project Engineer in its Traffic Engineering Department for immediate employment in Columbia, MD.

You will be the lead designer on projects, handling traffic studies, ITS planning, signal design, and maintenance of traffic on state, county, and local initiatives. The role requires a collaborative or independent approach, strong problem-solving, and attention to schedules and budgets.

Formación

• BSCE in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum six (6) years of design experience in appropriate discipline.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in applicable jurisdiction or able to apply for reciprocity.
• Experience on DOT/DPW projects for state, county, city, or local municipalities.
• Coursework or training in Traffic Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Transportation Planning, Geometric Design, Traffic Signal Systems, Urban Transit Planning, or related subjects.
• Proficient in software: Synchro, SimTraffic, VISSIM, Corsim, SIDRA, HCS, Visum, TransCAD, Cube, ISATe, IHSDM, ArcGIS

Responsabilidades

• Lead designer for project development including traffic studies, ITS planning and design, signal design, and MOT/maintenance of traffic.
• Work independently or as a team leader on transport improvement projects.
• Design/analysis of traffic engineering solutions for capacity, safety, and operations.
• Utilize advanced software tools in design, modeling and analysis.
• Prepare task assignments with scope and man-hour estimates.
• Supervise 2–3 junior design engineers/technicians.
