Job summary

Colorado Department of Transportation in Durango is seeking a Traffic Maintenance Supervisor III. You will lead the Durango signing/striping crews, manage expenditures and approvals, and coordinate with LTC Ops to ensure safe, compliant highway maintenance.

The role requires CDL Class A or B and strong leadership with experience in road/highway maintenance. This state position offers competitive benefits and a housing stipend as part of total compensation.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of road/highway maintenance experience.
• Two years of official work lead over a maintenance crew.
• Commercial Driver's License Class A or B with Colorado operation eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead crews performing roadway striping, markings, and signage per MUTCD.
• Develop traffic control plans and provide work-zone safety.
• Manage inventories of signs and paint products.
• Supervise Transportation Maintenance Worker II staff and others.
• Ensure compliance with policies, laws, and agency standards.
