Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field is required.
• Education/training may be substituted with four years of total qualifying experience.
• Engineering in Training Certification must be obtained within 90 days of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Plans and coordinates the design and management of complex, multidiscipline Capital projects in traffic and streets.
• Performs field work including data gathering and inspections for traffic projects.
• Conducts engineering calculations and reviews reports to monitor progress and identify problems.
• Directs the work of professionals and technicians on project basis.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations in RFPs, specs, designs and contracts.
• Maintains records and prepares accurate reports and correspondence.
• Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related Civil Engineering field
