Job summary

AUTOKINITON in Avon, Ohio is seeking a Tool & Die Lead for 2nd shift to provide technical leadership to Tool & Die Makers and apprentices, oversee tooling repairs, maintenance, and production support.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, automotive stamping experience, and prior lead experience; offers competitive wages ($40.50/hr base, +$2/hr journeyman), union affiliation with UAW Local 2000, and relocation assistance.

• Previous leadership or lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and day-to-day support to Tool & Die Makers and apprentices.
• Prioritize and assign work to ensure tooling repairs, preventative maintenance, and production support activities are completed efficiently.
• Train, mentor, and assist in the development of Tool & Die associates and apprentices.
• Monitor tooling performance and maintain a data-driven tool improvement program focused on die reliability and performance.
• Build, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, and modify progressive and transfer dies, fixtures, gauges, jigs, and tooling components.
