Job summary

SWEP, a member of the Dover Corporation family, seeks a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our precision manufacturing team. You will set up and operate machine tools, assemble tooling, and verify conformance to drawings while collaborating with engineers to meet process needs.

The ideal candidate has at least five years of die-making experience, strong math and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in English in an ISO manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of work experience as Tool and Die Maker.
• Experience in an ISO certified manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical prints, sketches, and design models.
• Knowledge of metal and other material properties.
• Strong self-motivation and independent problem solving.
• Good communication skills

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machine tools including lathes, mills, grinders, saws, drill press, and EDM machines.
• Machine, fit, and assemble precision tooling and verify conformance to drawing specifications.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, depth mics, indicators, pin gauges, thread gauges, and functional gauges.
• Troubleshoot dies and recommend design improvements.
• Maintain accurate tooling documentation and records.
• Assist in troubleshooting die issues in operation to maintain quality and production.
• Work closely with engineers and other production staff to ensure tools and dies meet manufacturing needs.
• Adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English, SWEP's corporate language.
• Personal skills Exposure in an ISO certified manufacturing environment.
• Good working knowledge of standard shop mathematics.
• Able to read and interpret technical prints, sketches, and design models.
• Knowledge of metal and other material properties.
• Ability to self-motivate and possess independent problem solving.
• Good communication skills
• PC skills (MS Office applications – Excel, Word)

This position is eligible to earn a discretionary bonus based on performance metrics and other criteria outlined in our applicable bonus plan.
