MacLean-Fogg Company is seeking a Senior Tool Design Engineer to design, develop, and optimize tooling systems for manufacturing processes. You will mentor junior engineers, train machine operators, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative tooling solutions.

In this role, you will lead CAD work, manage BOMs, ensure 5S and safety compliance, and contribute to continuous improvement, tool reliability, and production efficiency across launches and ongoing production runs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 4 years of tooling design experience in manufacturing.
• Extensive tooling design knowledge with proven implementations.
• Leadership and mentoring experience with junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of high-performance tooling for manufacturing equipment.
• Spearhead tooling enhancements to improve quality, reliability, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and QA to resolve tooling issues.
• Propose and implement cost-effective tooling solutions to improve performance and lifespan.
• Oversee tool change control processes to meet standards and regulations.
• Provide expert support during product launches and production runs.
• Create and manage CAD drawings, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
• Maintain 5S standards and safe working environment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers and machine operators.
