Job summary

A Step Forward Early Learning Academy in North Carolina is seeking a Lead Toddler Teacher to guide a small group of toddlers. You will partner with a co-teacher to deliver daily lessons, keep the classroom safe and engaging, and support children's growth through play and structured activities.

You should have at least two years of licensed child care experience, strong oral and written communication, and the ability to work well with staff, children and families.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of licensed child care experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
• A strong understanding of child development.

Responsibilities

• Teach daily lessons with your co-teacher and keep the classroom safe, happy, and well-organized.
• Handle potty time, diapering, handwashing, and room sanitizing to meet safety standards.
• Send daily updates on meals, naps, and progress, and meet with parents to discuss development.
• Log attendance and daily app notes accurately to meet licensing standards.
• Keep CPR/First Aid and SIDS training current; pass background checks.
• Join staff meetings and complete required training hours to stay up-to-date on childcare best practices.
