Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Elma East, NY is seeking a Lead Toddler Teacher to work with families and colleagues, providing a loving, educational home away from home for children from 6 weeks to 12 years, following NAEYC guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in ECE or CDA credential, or 12 ECE credits.
• 2+ years of licensed child care facility experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks–12 years in one classroom.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum per NAEYC standards.
• Curate programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm, safe, clean environment for growth and exploration.
• Partner with families to plan the best care and education for their children.
• Provide effective communication with parents/guardians.
