Job summary

The Goddard School of Cordova, TN is seeking a passionate Lead Teacher for our 1 year old classroom. You will lead daily activities, inspire young minds and collaborate with a supportive team to create a warm, engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities include implementing age-appropriate lesson plans with our Wonder of Learning curriculum, ensuring safety, communicating with families, and pursuing ongoing professional development to grow teaching skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; ECE degree or CDA preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience with young children in a licensed setting.
• State-required pre-service training completed.
• Develops relationships and communicates effectively with families and faculty.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans using our Wonder of Learning curriculum.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Communicate progress and daily activities with families.
• Supervise children to uphold health, safety, and licensing standards.
• Pursue ongoing professional development.
• Observe and document learning to inform activities and share insights.
• Support Assistant and Resource Teachers as part of a collaborative team.
• Model positive guidance for social-emotional growth and conflict resolution.
