Job summary

The Goddard School of Novi (Grand River), MI is seeking a passionate Lead Teacher for our Toddler classrooms (ages 1yr–2.5yrs). You will lead daily activities using our Wonder of Learning curriculum, creating a developmentally appropriate and engaging learning environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred
• CDA credential preferred
• 1–2 years of experience with young children in licensed setting preferred
• State-required pre-service training completed

Responsibilities

• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans using Wonder of Learning curriculum
• Create a safe, nurturing, inclusive classroom environment
• Maintain open communication with families about child progress
• Supervise children to uphold health and safety standards
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills
• Observe and document children’s learning to inform activities
• Support Assistant/Resource Teachers and foster team collaboration
• Model positive guidance for social-emotional growth and conflict resolution
