Job summary

The Learning Experience is seeking an experienced Toddler Lead Teacher for our South Lyon area childcare centers in Michigan. This full-time role focuses on guiding young children through engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that foster exploration, language, and social growth.

You will lead daily toddler routines, implement the LEAP Curriculum, and partner with families to support each child’s progress and well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous childcare, daycare, preschool, or early childhood classroom experience required.
• Toddler classroom experience strongly preferred.
• CDA, ECED coursework, degree, or other qualifying credential preferred.
• Must meet Michigan requirements to serve as Lead Caregiver.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Toddler classroom activities and routines.
• Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum.
• Engage children through sensory play, art, music, movement, stories, and language.
• Encourage communication, independence, and positive social interactions.
• Support diapering, toileting, meals, rest time, and classroom transitions.
• Use positive guidance and developmentally appropriate classroom management.
• Observe and document children's developmental progress.
• Guide and collaborate with Assistant Teachers.
• Build positive relationships and communicate regularly with families.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom.
• Follow Michigan childcare licensing requirements.
