Job summary

The Learning Experience – Hudson Yards in New York, NY is seeking a Lead Toddler Teacher to guide our Toddler classroom and help young children grow independence, communication, confidence, and social-emotional skills through play-based learning.

You will mentor Assistant Teachers, partner with families, and ensure a nurturing, structured environment while adhering to state licensing requirements and high standards of classroom quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, CDA, or High School Diploma with at least five years of relevant early childhood experience.
• Experience leading a toddler classroom preferred.
• Strong understanding of toddler development and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Excellent classroom management, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operation of the Toddler classroom using The Learning Experience’s proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum.
• Plan engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that support language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development.
• Foster independence through consistent routines, exploration, and positive guidance.
• Create a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Supervise, mentor, and support Assistant Teachers.
• Build strong partnerships with families through daily communication and developmental updates.
• Ensure compliance with all New York State and New York City health, safety, and licensing regulations.
• Maintain high standards of classroom quality and child engagement.

Pay: $20–$24 per hour (based on education and experience)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

The Learning Experience – Hudson Yards is seeking an experienced Lead Toddler Teacher to lead our Toddler classroom. This role is ideal for an educator who enjoys helping young children develop independence, communication, confidence, and social-emotional skills through engaging, play-based learning.
