Qualifications

  • Experience in early childhood education is preferred.

Job description

Summary

We are looking for teachers with experience working with children aged 1 to 2 years. Currently, there is an opening for a Lead Toddler Teacher. The Lead Teacher will manage a classroom of six toddlers, with or without assistance. Our team promotes a positive atmosphere with a rotational schedule. This is a full-time role, with hours from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, including a one-hour break, for three to four days a week. Additionally, there will be a closing shift from 9:00 AM to 5:45 PM, with a 45-minute break, for one to two days a week. Shift weeks may vary, but shift times will remain consistent.

Duties
  1. Work and build relationships with children and parents.
  2. Create and follow a lesson plan.
  3. Work independently in the classroom, with or without assistance.
  4. Supervise and care for children, maintaining the required ratio.
  5. Maintain daily attendance and transition sheets.
  6. Uphold DCF rules and regulations.
  7. Support children's growth cognitively and socially/emotionally.
  8. Provide a loving environment that fosters development.
Requirements
  1. Willing to complete 45 hours within 90 days.
  2. Ability to pass a background screening.
  3. Good references.
Nice to Have
  1. Experience in early childhood education.
  2. Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
  3. First Aid certification and 45 hours of training.
