Job summary

Guidepost Montessori in Beaverton, OR is seeking a Lead Toddler Guide to lead a mixed-age toddler classroom in a thoughtfully designed Montessori environment. You will observe, plan and deliver individualized lessons, encourage independence, and foster language, self-regulation, and confidence in each child while collaborating with families and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• ECE or Child Development credits required.
• Interest in pursuing fully sponsored Montessori certification through Prepared Montessorian Institute or a Montessori diploma.
• Experience with children ages 0–3 in a group care/early learning setting.
• Alignment with child-led educational approaches (Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Observe each child to support development.
• Prepare and maintain an orderly classroom.
• Encourage independence by letting toddlers do things themselves.
• Provide lessons in practical life skills, language development, and grace and courtesy.
• Build warm, trusting relationships with children and families.
• Communicate and collaborate with parents to support growth.
