Job description

Lead Toddler Teacher - 3 Year Classroom

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 (bi-weekly pay)

Schedule: Monday thru Friday (flexible schedule)

Shifts: Varies between 6:30 am - 6:00 pm

Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
  2. Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
  3. Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
  4. Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
  5. Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
  6. Ensure a healthy classroom environment – including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards and safety and security of children.
  7. Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities, hygiene, and safety standards.
  8. Maintain accurate records, forms, and files.
  9. Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Minimum Qualifications:
  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. 1-3 years classroom instruction
  3. CDA, TCC (preferred)
  4. Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferred
