Qualifications

• 10+ years of industrial or academic experience in developing thermodynamic or transport property models.
• Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, with a preference for a PhD.
• Experience in process engineering and optimization including real-life user experience of AspenTech Performance Engineering products.
• Strong math and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and support engineering software solutions for modeling thermodynamic and transport properties for the chemical and petroleum industry, including flash algorithms, data regression, property estimation, and more.
• Research new technologies and determine how to leverage them within our software applications.
• Act as the subject matter expert for physical property calculations, leading engineers to robust solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to translate customer needs into application solutions.
