Job summary

OLI Systems is seeking a Thermodynamic Model Developer in Parsippany, NJ to advance thermodynamic, transport, and interfacial models for high-fidelity predictions in our software platform. You will lead project initiatives, collaborate with researchers and clients, and shape model development strategy.

The role requires a PhD with strong fundamentals in thermodynamics, ionics, and reaction kinetics, plus experience in multi-physics simulations and data-driven methods.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Chemical Engineering, Physical Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field.
  • Postdoctoral experience in academia or industry preferred.
  • Proven research expertise in thermodynamics and physical properties of electrolyte/non-electrolyte systems or electrochemical corrosion modeling.

Responsibilities

  • Advance thermodynamic, transport, and interfacial models to achieve high fidelity in predicting behavior within OLI’s software.
  • Provide technical leadership to guide project portfolio development and alignment with industry needs.
  • Tailor and optimize models for industrial systems in sectors like oil & gas, metals & mining, power, and water treatment.
