Job summary

Calpine, a business unit of Constellation Energy Corporation, is seeking an experienced project manager/construction manager for major retrofit thermal power projects. The role requires oversight of safety, budget, and schedule with management of internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, coordinating EPC bids, and supervising onsite execution of equipment procurement and construction activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years' experience in industrial construction techniques.
• At least 5 years as a project manager or construction manager on a thermal generation project with gas turbines, HRSGs and steam turbines.
• Experience managing large-scale projects with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee thermal power generation projects, ensuring safety, budget and schedule compliance.
• Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement and construction on site and in office.
• Coordinate procurement and owner-furnished equipment such as gas turbines, transformers and HV breakers.
• Ensure compliance with design standards and applicable codes and enforce safety standards.
• Report project status to senior executives and mentor staff.
